Prithvi Hegde
(she/her)
Prithvi Hegde is a Planner at the Metropolitan Agency for Planning where she works across municipal capacity building and housing and transportation planning. Prior to this, she worked as an urban planner in India, where she worked on neighborhood-led sustainable mobility plans and urban history projects. She holds a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a Bachelors in Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi.
Prithvi also leads the Chicago chapter Women Walk at Midnight, a global initiative that organizes nighttime walks for women, to claim access to the streets at all hours. She believes that when people feel a real relationship to a place, they invest in its care, defend it against decline, and shape it toward what actually serves them. This philosophy shapes both her professional work and her organizing.
