Meghan Volcy

Meghan Volcy is a project manager and policy analyst with years of professional experience in research, policy, and programs across education, civic, and transportation systems. Driven by a commitment to unlock equity through policy, Meghan translates complex policy landscapes into actionable strategies in the local, state, and federal sectors.
Throughout her career in program management and curriculum development, policy research and analysis, and communications, Meghan has developed and led creative, high-impact projects that bridge technical policy analysis with community engagement. Her work focuses on building resilient and inclusive systems that all people can access and leverage toward a comfortable and dignified life.
A Boston native, Meghan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Sociology and Urban Studies from Boston University. Prior to working in the transportation sector, Meghan worked in education policy and research. Currently, she serves as a transportation policy reporter and a Transportation and Mobility Fellow with the City of Evanston. Outside of work, Meghan continues supporting an equitable future and empowered communities through her local civic engagement and advocacy.
Fun Facts
- Meghan considers herself an "equal opportunity Sox fan" and can't/won't choose between her beloved Red and White Sox, and never turns down a stadium snack (unless it's peanuts)
- Meghan loves to travel, and never says no to the regional delicacy (unless it has nuts)
