Janhavi Manjrekar, AICP Candidate

Janhavi Manjrekar is a Chicago-based landscape and urban designer with five years of experience shaping equitable, sustainable, and community-centered public spaces. Janhavi is trained as an architect and holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and holds a Master of City Design from the University of Illinois Chicago. An AICP Candidate and on track for PLA licensure, she has contributed to projects ranging from neighborhood trail frameworks to ecological restoration and campus design. She is passionate about fostering connections between people, nature, and place, and enjoys volunteering her time to support community initiatives that strengthen access to public space, the arts, and local culture in Chicago. At WP&D Chicago, she works towards growing a network of like-minded women in the planning and AEC professions to support their growth and development.
