Consuelo Arguilles, AICP

Consuelo Arguilles, AICP has over twenty years of local government experience and is passionate about public service. She is the Assistant Director of Community Development for the Village of Addison, and has held management roles in a variety of communities in the Chicago area.


She actively participates in professional affiliations and currently serves as Co-Chair of Membership on the Women in Planning & Development and Chair of the Illinois Local Government Hispanic Network (ILGHN). She participates in coaching/mentoring opportunities and enjoys talking to students and young professionals about planning and a career in local government.


Consuelo holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Urban Planning and Policy Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

  • Consuelo is a first generation Mexican-American that was born and raised in the southside of Chicago.
  • She loves spending time outdoors and exploring new places with friends and family.
