Chicago Urban Sculpture Tour

A WP+Drinks Networking Event

Please join us for a walking tour exploring Chicago's urban sculptures in The Loop on Sunday, November 8 from 2:00 - 5:00. 

WP+D Members (and public art buffs) Amy Verel and Tracy Koffarnus researched and presented a longer version of this walking tour for the American Society of Landscape Architects National Meeting in September.  They've adapted a special 3-hour version for WP+D to give a unique twist on our regular WP+D Drinks networking event.

The tour will include select pieces of Chicago's preeminent works of public art by artists including Louise Nevelson, Marc Chagall, Kathryn Gustafson, Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, Anish Kapoor, Juame Plensa and others.

WHEN: Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
WHERE: Meet in The Lurie Garden in Millennium Park. The tour will end at Alexander Calder's "Flamingo" in Federal Plaza
WP+Drinks: Join us for post-tour drinks at Elephant and Castle, 111 West Adams for drinks and light appetizers from 5:00 - 6:00. Members and friends are welcome to join us for WP+D drinks even if they are not attending the walking tour.
