Every Fall and Spring, WP+D holds informative panels and workshops on the latest industry trends and issues of interest to our members.
Last Spring, the Professional Development committee assembled a panel of experts to discuss recent "Recovery" legislation, programs, and Federal stimulus funding related to planning and development.
The panel included Patricia Berry, Principal at Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP); Kimberly Danna, Senior Community Planning & Development Representative at HUD; and John Webber, Director of Office of Communications at Illinois Department of Transportation.
Past events have included topics such as career development advice from a panel of women leaders from diverse cross-section of planning and development, resume-writing workshops, and topical discussion such as regional economic development and property management.
