Membership Committee

This committee manages WP+D membership and makes recommendations to the Board on benefits and programs to attract new members and organizes the Membership Directory and an annual summer Membership Appreciation Picnic.

 

About the Chairs:

Nikki Ricks, Membership Retention

Nikki currently works as a Facilities Access Consultant in the Disability Resource Center at University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her MA from UIC in Urban Planning and Policy and her BA from Brigham Young University in Communications and Sociology. She holds a certificate in geographic visualization and has an interest in international planning, universal design and land use.

Danielle Wagner, Membership Development

Danielle began her career working for the City of Chicago's Dept. of Planning and Development and later worked for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and Index Publishing. Danielle currently works for Inland American’s Business Manager and Advisor group as a Financial Analyst. There she performs analyses and proper due diligence on several different property types, especially focusing on development deals. She has been a member of WP+D since 2010 and this is her first year serving on the board. She is also a member of the American Planning Association. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for a BA in Urban Planning and then the University of Illinois at Chicago for an MA in Real Estate.

2010-2011 Committee Goals

In 2012 our goal is to elevate provide you with our newly launched website as a tool to better interact with your peers, improve access to industry news, and increase awareness of WP+D events and information so that you can get the most out of your membership.

As WP+D approaches its 20th year, we are ever more committed to providing a rich and meaningful professional experience to our members and fostering social interactions among women in the planning and development industry. This year we look forward to both improving your membership experience and at the same time promoting and further advancing the growth of this organization. We are excited for the new year and the chance to engage you, our members.
